Job Overview
With an established management team in place, Nizari is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketing Manager for its Marketing Department.
Function
The incumbent is responsible for developing, establishing and maintaining marketing strategies in coordination with credit union strategic business plan to meet organizational objectives. This includes marketing products and services, measuring member satisfaction, sharing the results with the management. Develops and implements marketing programs to increase awareness of services and products offered by Nizari. Act in Business Development capacity to enhance Nizari’s presence in the marketplace. Participate in the events at the community level to make Nizari’s presence felt.
Regular Responsibilities:
- Assists management with long and short run strategic marketing planning. Assists in defining the Credit Union’s marketing plan. Develops marketing objectives, goals, and strategies for a working marketing plan. Ensures that marketing plans, goals, and policies support established Credit Union-wide goals.
- Researches and analyzes environmental, competitive, and business conditions that affect operations.
- Formulates and helps manage the marketing budget, marketing results and reports monthly performance. Corrective actions when necessary. Tracks actual versus planned Institutes and recommends.
- Gathers information on member needs and perceptions and provides input for the selection and design of new competitive products and services.
- Identifies and quantifies target markets for Credit Union products. Determines the appropriate product positioning for each product. Determines the optimal product mix for target markets. Tracks product contribution margin and recommends corrective actions where warranted.
- Ensure compliance in all marketing related publications which includes brochures, handouts, presentations, annual reports, website, e-mail blast, texting to our members etc.
- Maintain Nizari website. Ensure that it remains updated and regulatory compliant
- Monitors competitors’ rates and fees. Analyzes market price sensitivity.
- Establishes and monitors interest rate and fee structures. Recommends modifications as necessary.
- Develops perceptual maps depicting how members view Credit Union products on issues such as value and support as it relates to pricing.
- Develops and oversees advertising and public relations programs.
- Stays informed of trends in the marketing field. Evaluates the nature and effectiveness of competitor’s communications.
- Determines the goals and objectives of the Credit Union’s advertising and public relations efforts. Implements
measurement systems to assess advertising effectiveness. - Develops feature and benefit sheets for each product and service versus major competitors.
- Recommends and administers promotional campaigns. Oversees trade shows, special offers, training seminars, product, launches, and employee cross-selling incentives.
- Ensures that requests, needs, and questions are promptly resolved. Ensures that information regarding Credit Union products, programs, and promotions is appropriately provided. Monitors service delivery and ensures excellence in service levels.
- Ensures that all new account opportunities are followed up.
- Ensures that the Credit Union’s professional reputation is maintained.
Qualifications and Experience Required
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience and training
Required Knowledge:
Thorough understanding of Credit Union products, services, and competitors’ product lines. Strong knowledge of promotion techniques, pricing policies, and public relations.
Experience Required:
Five years of related progressive experience.
Skills/Abilities:
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and supervisory abilities. Strong project management skills. Demonstrated leadership abilities. Organizational and analytical skills. Ability to interact at all levels in the organization.
