Job Overview
Nizari is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Human Resources (HR).
Function
The Director of Human Resources serves as the department lead to support business plans, operations, and organizational development initiatives for the entire organization. This role leads, directs, develops, and coordinates the policies, activities, and staff, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy. Additionally, this position works closely with the business line and support service teams on matters related to employee relations, total rewards, talent acquisition, and employee development.
Regular Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
- Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws/ regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Partners with and supports business leaders in setting performance standards and effectively implementing programs related to succession planning, career development and other talent management processes.
- Ensures that positions are appropriately graded and pay and benefits are appropriately designed.
- Leads performance management ensuring that appropriate goals, objectives and clear expectations, measurements, and timeframes are in place.
- Leads employee development initiatives and incentive programs.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with a concentration in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development.
- PHR Certification, SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM SCP) credential strongly preferred.
- Five (5) plus years of experience in Human Resources and/or Talent Management / organizational Development, with previous experience managing direct reports.
